Our Approach
At Café Matcha, our goal is simple: to bring you the “Best Matcha in Town.” While we’ve built long-term, valuable partnerships within the matcha industry, we’re constantly tasting, evaluating, and selecting what feels right for the moment. That means our product lineup is continually evolving, and some of our favorites are only available in small batches – so when they’re in stock, it’s truly “get them while they’re hot.”
As for how we judge our matcha, there’s no single grading system to rely on. Labels like ceremonial grade aren’t regulated and don’t capture the full picture. Instead, we believe matcha is personal. The “best” matcha depends on your taste, your experiences, and how you plan to enjoy it. Generally, we look for a balance of sweetness, umami, and aroma, with just a touch of bitterness for complexity. Most importantly, we choose matcha that’s versatile – delicious on its own, but just as satisfying with milk.
